Frequently Asked Questions
Will the companion do full house cleaning and family cooking?
NO. Companion focuses 100% on your child. They will: tidy child’s room/study area, cook simple meals for child only (breakfast, snacks, dinner). They will NOT: clean entire house, cook for family, do general housework. If you need a housekeeper, that’s a different service.
What meals does the companion prepare?
For the child only: Breakfast (upma, idli, dosa, sandwiches, eggs), Fresh lunch box (if needed – dal-rice, roti-sabzi, pasta), After-school snacks (fruits, sandwiches, juice), Dinner (child-appropriate light meals). All fresh, home-cooked, healthy. NOT cooking for entire family.
Can companions help with homework and studies?
YES, up to a limit. All companions are 12th pass minimum, many are graduates. They can: Supervise homework completion (all classes), Help with subjects up to class 8-10, Ensure study schedule followed, Clarify basic doubts. They CANNOT: Prepare for board exams (10th/12th), Coach for competitive exams (JEE/NEET), Teach advanced subjects. For advanced tutoring, hire separate tutor.
What’s the difference between Full-Day and 24/7 packages?
Full-Day (₹25K): 7 AM-7 PM Mon-Fri. Companion leaves evening, returns morning. Good if parents home by 7 PM. 24/7 (₹35K): Companion lives in your home. Available round-the-clock including nights & weekends. Handles bedtime, night supervision, weekend care. Needs accommodation in your home. Gets 1 day off/week.
Can companion transport my child to activity classes?
YES. Included in all packages. Evening package: 1 activity. Full-Day: 1-2 activities. 24/7: Multiple activities. Companion uses auto/cab (you reimburse transport cost). They accompany child, supervise during class (if allowed), bring home safely. Swimming, dance, music, tuition, sports – all covered.
What if I need care only for a few hours?
Book On-Demand Hourly package. Educated Helper (₹350/hr with homework help) or Basic Companion (₹300/hr supervision only). Minimum 3 hours. Perfect for: Parents traveling (book 24 hours), Late at office (3-4 hours), Attending event, Emergency backup, Weekend care. Subject to companion availability.
Is CCTV really mandatory? Why?
YES, absolutely mandatory for ALL bookings (monthly & hourly). Reason: Child safety is paramount. CCTV provides accountability for both companion and parents. We verify camera working before sending companion. NO CCTV = NO SERVICE. No exceptions. At least 1 camera in common area (living room/study area) required.
How are companions matched to my child?
Process: (1) You share child’s age, school timings, routine, needs, (2) We shortlist 2-3 suitable companions (education, experience, availability), (3) You interview via phone/video, (4) Choose preferred companion, (5) 3-day trial period (₹1,000/day), (6) If satisfied, start monthly package. Can request change anytime if not working out.
What if companion is sick or takes leave?
We provide backup. If regular companion sick/on leave, we send trained replacement within 24 hours. Backup briefed on child’s routine. For 24/7 live-in: Companion gets 4 days off/month (planned in advance). You arrange backup OR we provide at ₹500/day extra. Emergency sick leave: Immediate replacement sent.
Do I get daily updates about my child?
YES. WhatsApp updates 3x/day: (1) Morning (8 AM) – School ready, breakfast eaten, bag checked, (2) Afternoon (3 PM) – Pickup done, snack eaten, homework started, (3) Evening (7 PM) – Homework complete, activities done, dinner eaten. Photos/videos shared with permission. You can call/video call companion anytime.
